Itinerary


Day 1: Arrive in Dushanbe (stay in hotel) 


Day 2: Sightseeing around in Dushanbe visiting the National Museum of Antiquity (hotel) 


Day 3: Drive to Qalai-Khumb over Sagridasht pass (3300 m): Stay in home stay


Day 4: Drive to Khorog along the Panj River with border to Afghanistan (stay in hotel) 


Day 5: Visiting Khorog, the museum, the botanical garden (2nd highest in the world) 


Day 6: Drive to Yamchun (Wakhan)  on the way visiting the Qaqa fort (sleep in home stay) 


Day 7: Visiting  Bibi-Fatima hot spring, the Yamchun Fort, drive to Langar (home stay) 


Day 8: Drive to Bulunkul over Khargush Pass (4344 m)  stay in home stay


Day 9: Drive to Sumantash, start the trek to Katta Marjanay (sleep in tent) 


Day 10: Trek to Kichik Marjanay (sleep in tent) 


Day 11: Trek to Langar valley over Burgumol Pass (4000 m). Sleep in tent


Day 12: Trek to Kirgiz-Shabar viewing the peaks over 5000m (sleep in tent


Day 13: Trek to Uch-Kul over Langar Pass (4600 m) or over Chapdara Lake. Sleep in tent


Day 14: Trek to Vikhinj along the Uch-Kul (sleep in tent) 


Day 15: Trek to Zarosh-Kul (4518 m), coming back to the bottom of Shtik Lazar Pass (tent) 


Day 16: Trek to Bardara valley over Shtik-Lazar pass (5000 m). Sleep in tent


Day 17: Trek to Bardara village (2750 m)  stay in home stay


Day 18: Rest day in Bardara in the evening Jeep arrives (stay in home stay) 


Day 19: Drive through the Bartang valley overnight in Rushan (stay in home stay)

 
Day 20: Drive to Qalai-Khumb (stay in home stay) 


Day 21: Drive to Dushanbe via Kulob(stay in hotel) 


Day 22: Transfer to airport flight to Europe

Hightlights: Driving along the Panj River border with Afganistan, visiting the ruins of the Great Silk Road and visiting local shepherds.

Transportation: 4WD Landcruiser Toyota, minibus, donkey and porters
Food: 3 times hot meals B,L,D. On the trek lunch is served as picnic
